About us

The Queens Building, Rutland Street, Cultural Quarter Leicester is a Grade 2 listed building built in 1897 to commemorate Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee. In the heart of Leicester’s Cultural Quarter, the venue is an imposing building stepping out on to the pedestrianised Orton Square, a shared space with Curve Theatre, Athena events and conferencing venue, The Exchange Bar and the, soon to be landscaped, public garden St George’s Church Yard.  Less than 5 minute’s walk from Leicester Train Station and 10 minute’s walk from Highcross shopping area.

The Queen Victoria Arts Club is a modern restaurant & bar with the feel of an old traditional arts club.  From October we will be open to all members of the public.

We specialise in great modern British food, cocktails and champagne.

The Queen Victoria Arts Club is over two floors - the ground floor being a 90 cover airy public space and private rooms with huge windows onto Orton Square. The basement is luxurious, seating 50 covers for members only events and private bookings.

Our two private rooms 'Leopold' & 'Beatrice' are  bookable by members only for  groups of 10 to 20 each with exclusive WIFI connection and presentation screens for meetings and events.
